The new Cumbernauld Poker Rankings (CPR) replaces the old player form pages & is a fairer measure of a players performance in the CSOP. This does not replace or impact on the league tables in any way & end of season league points will still determine the CSOP champion, this is purely for information.
Ranking points are worked out by adding all-time league points scored plus 1 point for every pound (£) won at a CSOP event, both main events and recorded side games are included. By combining both league points & cash won it allows players who can't make many events a better chance to accumulate ranking points. As an example if someone(player 1) played 10 league games & placed 8th in them all he'd end the season on 20 points & if someone else(player 2) only managed to make 2 games & finished 2nd & 3rd he'd end the season on 19 points so whilst doing better in the games he can make player 2 would finish behind player 1 in the league, but by adding league points to prize money won then player 2 would have a higher CPR score. The CPR is just a better way than the form charts for seeing who's hot & who's not in the CSOP (the order is quite different to the alltime league table). After events i'll try & mark players who move up in green & players who move down in red.
